Most children referred to Kent Pediatric Neurodevelopment are between 18 months and 12 years old. The most common reasons for referral are missed motor milestones, missed language milestones, an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis or features suggestive of one, a cerebral palsy diagnosis, sensory processing concerns, or pediatric feeding difficulties.

Our approach
Children are not small adults. Their nervous systems are still developing, their goals are developmental milestones rather than recovery to a prior baseline, and their families are inseparable from the therapy plan. The first three to five years are the highest-yield window for developmental therapy. Our pediatric environment is designed for children, not adapted from an adult clinic. Sessions look like play. Parents are partners in every session.

Pediatric Neurodevelopment is led by Ayingbee Kakchingtabam, a DHA-licensed pediatric occupational therapist with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Neurology, and 4+ years of experience.
